Congratulations! Six members of the editorial board of Earth and Planetary Science were selected as World’s Top 2% Scientists 2023!

2023-10-19

Stanford University recently released the "World's Top 2% of Scientists 2023" list. Six members of the editorial board of Earth and Planetary Science (ISSN: 2810-9732) were included in this prestigious list!

Based on the bibliometric information in the Scopus database, the list selects the world's top 2% of scientists from about 7 million scientists, divided into 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields. The ranking was released in two categories: Career-long Impact Ranking and Single Year Impact Ranking, which corresponded to the comprehensive data from 1960-2022 and 2022 respectively. The "Career-long Impact Ranking" focuses on the comprehensive influence performance of scientists during their careers, and the "Single Year Impact Ranking" focuses on the academic impact of scientists in the previous year. The list provides a measure of the long-term research performance of scientists, which can more objectively and truthfully reflect the influence of scientists.

We would like to congratulate our Honorary Editor-in-Chief Prof. Dr. Zheng-Xiang Li and five Editorial Board Members on their excellent achievement and thank them for their immense contribution to the scientific progression and development of Earth and Planetary Science.
