Special Issue Information:

Dear Colleagues,

The world is facing numerous challenges due to climate change, scarcity of resources, global trading, and food insecurity. The agriculture industry is currently at a critical point. High-quality, original research and review articles welcome in this special issue are those that address agricultural innovation, green policies, trade, and the rural economic transformation. The potential of the green agricultural changes brought in by precision farming, climate-smart technologies, circular economy models, and digital agribusiness to transform production systems and market configurations is the subject of scholarly discussion that is being promoted in this issue. The issue aims to reveal how nations are harmonizing national and international agricultural policies with the global sustainability agenda, like the SDGs, and how to maintain food security and resiliency in the rural community.

Special consideration will be given to:

  • Innovative models of agricultural productivity and resource effectiveness.
  • Policies that encourage sustainable environmental agriculture.
  • The international trade in upscaling green agricultural practices.
  • Carbon prices, regenerative agriculture, and low-emission supply chains through economic analysis.
  • Both developing and developed economy case studies of how they have managed to shift to a system of sustainable agri-food.

The journal is open to contributions of agricultural economists, policy analysts, agribusiness practitioners, and researchers working on development, taking an empirical, theoretical, or mixed-methods approach. The task is to create a greater appreciation of how innovation, regulation, and market forces could collaborate in guiding agriculture to a robust and inclusive future. With the focus on innovative knowledge and practical approaches, this issue seeks to influence the worldwide agricultural policy and offer new methods of sustainable development to various regions related to changes.
